Automag pi 31 is a general purpose block with artificial cracks. The standard dimension of the block is 12mm X 50mm X 75mm. A groove of 1.6mm deep and 2mm wide is machined across the centre of each face making two halfs marked as SecA and Sec.B. This is to permit side by side comparison without cross contamination between two different penetrants.
For consistency and reproducibility of test resullts from penetrant inspection, artificially produced defects are used which can rate and compare overall system effectively.

Automag Shims are used for establishing field direction and strength in multidirectional magnetization. It is vitally important that the field intensity in such magnetization is balanced in all direction so that field of one direction does not overwhelm the the other.

Qualitech Ketoes ring is manufactured as per ASTM-E 1444 from round annealed stock of 01 tool steel. It has through drilled holes on circumferential periphery at specified distances. It is supplied with copper conductor (optional) of 31.7 mm diameter which can pass through the centre of Ketoes ring.

Lux Meter is used to measure amount of light. Qualitech – LX Lux Meter is a precision digital instrument to measure the amount of light at the area of interest. Nickel- Chromium Test Panels are used for testing sensitivity of Dye penetrants. They are brass plates plated with nickel and chromium of known thickness having linear parallel cracks.

These lights generate emit ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 365 nanometers which is recommended for NDT inspection. It is light weight user friendly portable hand held instrument.
